OUR PURPOSE and SCOPE To provide an Emmaus community program to folks in Southwest and South-central Oklahoma. This includes all of the areas surrounding the communities of Altus, Amber, Anadarko, Bethany, Blair, Cache, Chickasha, Comanche, Cyril, Duke, Duncan, Eakley, Eldorado, Elgin, Elk City, Elmer, Fletcher, Fort Sill, Frederick, Fritch, Geronimo, Gould, Gracemont, Grandfield, Granite, Headrick, Hobart, Hollis, Indiahoma, Jones, Kempner, Kingfisher, Lawton, Lindsey, Lone Wolf, Mangum, Marlow, Medicine Park, Meers, Minco, Mountain Park, Ninnekah, Norman, Oklahoma City, Olustee, Roosevelt, Rush Springs, Ryan, Sayre, Snyder, Temple, Union City, Warren, and all the other communities in Southwest and South-central Oklahoma. WHAT is EMMAUS? It is an organization that ultimately stems from the following scripture: And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him; and He vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our hearts burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scriptures? Luke 24:31-32 (KJV) The Emmaus community conducts a three-day spiritual renewal program called the "Walk to Emmaus". What are Chrysalis and Journey? The Chrysalis and Journey programs offer similar programs that are oriented toward young adults and youth.
